(A) Before the owner, or person entitled to possession of any legally impounded vehicle, shall be permitted to remove it from the custody of the Chief of Police, he or she shall furnish evidence of his or her identity and ownership of the vehicle and right of possession thereto, and shall sign a receipt for the vehicle, and shall pay the cost of towing or removal to the village vehicle pound or authorized garage and, in addition thereto, the cost of storage charged at the prevailing rate of garage or parking lot in which such vehicle is stored.
(B) Storage costs for any vehicle stored on village property shall be up to a maximum of $10 per day, payable to the Police Department for deposit to the general fund.
