§ 36.09 ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF REAL ESTATE.
   (A)   Whenever a majority of the Village Board shall determine, in the exercise of its discretion, that the public interest will be served thereby, the village may acquire or convey any interest in real estate; provided, that any real estate which has been dedicated to and is held by the village as a public right-of-way or for another public purpose shall not be conveyed unless the public right-of-way or other dedicated interest is first vacated in the manner provided by law.
   (B)   The Village Board may, by resolution, authorize and direct the Mayor and Village Clerk to execute any documents pertaining to the acquisition or conveyance of real estate, and may authorize disposition and conveyance by any appropriate method, including, but not limited to, by negotiated agreement or by bid.
