§ 33.56 RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS.
   (A)    The village Police Department may enact policy providing for the issuance of photo identification to its retired officers.
   (B)   The policy shall include at a minimum the following conditions:
      (1)   Twenty years of minimum service to the village;
      (2)   Officer shall have retired from the village in “good standing”; and
      (3)   The identification shall contain an expiration date and be subject to the reissuance by the village at the village’s sole discretion.

Editor’s note:
   The provisions of Ord. 20-06 amending this section shall become effective as of December 31, 2021. Until the Police Department adopts written policy relating to the issuance of the retired officer identification no such identification shall be issued.
