§ 33.50 HIRING STANDARDS.
   Each applicant for the position of part-time police officer:
   (A)   Shall be subject to the qualifications of applicants as set out in ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 10-2.1-6, except as to any individual previously employed by the village as a Deputy Marshal in which case certain qualifications may be waived and then only upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police;
   (B)   Shall be of good moral character, of temperate habits, of sound health, and physically ad mentally able to perform the assigned duties;
   (C)   Shall be at least 21 years of age;
   (D)   May be required to pass a medical examination;
   (E)   May be required to pass a psychological examination;
   (F)   Shall possess a high school diploma or FED certificate;
   (G)   Shall possess a valid State of Illinois driver’s license;
   (H)   Shall possess no prior felony convictions;
   (I)   Shall have been honorably discharged if he or she has served in the U.S. military.
