§ 33.361 PUBLIC SAFETY CADET PROGRAM.
   The village shall establish a procedure for screening applicants into the Public Safety Cadet Program. The Public Safety Cadet Program shall operate under the joint supervision and control of the Risk Manager, Chief of Police and Fire Chief. Persons in the Public Safety Cadet Program shall not be considered permanent employees of the village and may be dismissed at any time at the sole discretion of the village. Public safety cadets shall receive in-depth training in areas such as CPR, defensive driving, safety procedures, health and fitness, along with many other public safety related topics. Through the Public Safety Cadet Program, public safety cadets will have the opportunity to work in assignments within the Police and Fire Departments.
