§ 33.35 ESTABLISHMENT; COMPOSITION.
   (A)   There is hereby continued, created and established an executive department of the village, to be known as the Police Department.
   (B)   The Police Department shall consist of the following full time sworn personnel:
      (1)   One Police Chief.
      (2)   One Deputy Chief.
      (3)   Six Commanders.
      (4)   Four Master Sergeants.
      (5)   One Sergeant.
      (6)   Thirty-six patrol officers.
   (C)   The sergeant positions shall be eliminated through attrition. The ranks of Commander and Master Sergeant are appointed ranks within the Department, appointed by the Mayor and the Village Board upon recommendation of the Police Chief.
   (D)   The duties of the ranks within the Police Department shall be defined more fully in job descriptions developed by the Police Department and approved by the Mayor and the Village Board.
   (E)   The Police Department shall also consist of one administrative assistant to the Chief of Police, two records clerks and any other special officers and employees as may be authorized by the Village Board by ordinance as provided from time-to-time.
