§ 33.27 ANNUAL OFFICERS' STIPEND.
   (A)    The Village Board recognizes and declares that the Captains of the Bellwood Fire Department are bona fide administrative employees, and as such are exempt from the overtime and minimum wage requirements of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
   (B)   In addition to the annual salary amounts set forth in village ordinances, for additional operational hours that the officer may be needed to perform his or her duties, as solely determined by the Chief or his or her designee, the officer shall be compensated at the rate equal to his or her annual salary at a pro-rata hourly rate, not at a time-and-one-half rate.
