(A) The members of the Fire Department shall meet annually to elect officers for the purpose of managing monies received from foreign fire insurance companies. The officers shall consist of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
(B) Meetings; funds.
(1) The Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson shall preside at all meetings;
(2) The secretary shall keep a record of all minutes; and
(3) The Treasurer shall receive all funds transferred to the Fire Department by the Village Treasurer as receipts from foreign fire insurance companies.
(a) All such funds shall be used for the maintenance, use and benefit of the Fire Department.
(b) The Treasurer shall also give a sufficient bond to the village, approved by the Village President, conditioned upon the faithful performance of duties.
(C) These officers shall provide for the rules and regulations governing the management and payment of monies so held by the Treasurer.
(D) At no time shall the actions of these officers interfere with the powers of the Chief, the composition of the Fire Department, the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, or in any way impede the ordinary operation of the Fire Department.
