There is established a Public Service Employment Program, which will provide temporary employment in the field of human betterment and community improvement. The Public Services Employment Program is temporary part-time employment assignment lasting 25 to 52 weeks depending on the circumstances of the assignment. All hires (public service assistants) shall be subject to a 90-day probationary period. A component of the program will be job training and permanent employment assistance.
