§ 31.47 ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
   (A)   Creation of office; appointment. There is hereby created the office of Assistant Superintendent of Public Works, an executive office of the village. The Assistant Superintendent(s) shall be appointed by the President by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The village may appoint up to two Assistants, depending on the needs of the community and department, to assist and carry out the directives and instructions of the Director of Public Works.
   (B)   Compensation. The compensation of the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works shall be fixed at the time of his or her appointment.
   (C)   Duties. The Assistant Superintendent(s) of Public Works shall report directly to the Director of Public Works and be responsible for the supervision of all employees assigned to the Department of Public Works all of whom shall perform their duties subject to the orders and under the supervision of the Director of Public Works.
