§ 31.39 ASSISTANT HEALTH OFFICER.
   (A)   Creation of office; appointment. There is hereby created the office of Assistant Health Officer, an executive office of the village. The Assistant Health Officer shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
   (B)   Compensation. The compensation for the Assistant Health Officer shall be made by the President, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
   (C)   Assistant to Health Officer. The Assistant Health Officer shall assist the Health Officer in the enforcement of all provisions of this code and other ordinances of the village relative to the protection of public health. The Assistant Health Officer shall also assist the Health Officer in making inspections of foodstuffs and of the premises used for storage or selling of provisions, as referred to in § 31.37(C). He or she shall assist the Health Officer in the inspection of all premises used as food establishments.
   (D)   Enforcement of rules of Board of Health; attendance at meetings. The Assistant Health Officer shall enforce all the rules and orders of the Board of Health and shall attend the meetings of the Board when requested to do so by the presiding officer.
   (E)   Reports and recommendations. The Assistant Health Officer shall make such reports to the Board of Trustees as may be required. The Assistant Health Officer shall also make recommendations for rulings, orders or ordinances respecting the public health whenever he or she is requested to do so or whenever he or she deems it advisable or necessary.
