§ 31.34 PROSECUTING ATTORNEY.
   (A)   Creation of office; appointment. There is hereby created the office of Prosecuting Attorney. The Prosecuting Attorney shall be appointed by the President and Board of Trustees of the village.
   (B)   Compensation. The compensation of the Prosecuting Attorney shall be fixed at the time of his or her appointment.
   (C)   Bond. The bond of the Prosecuting Attorney shall be fixed by the Board of Trustees at the time of his or her appointment.
   (D)   Duties. The Prosecuting Attorney shall prosecute all violations of the provisions of this code and other ordinances of the village and appeals thereof to which the village may be a party or in which it may be interested. All appeals shall be under the direction and supervision of the Village Attorney. The Prosecuting Attorney shall also perform such other and further legal services as the Board of Trustees may direct or that the Village Attorney may request.
   (E)   Reports on work done. The President and Board of Trustees may request monthly reports or interim reports on work done by the office of Prosecuting Attorney.
