§ 151.04 INSPECTION AUTHORITY.
   The Village Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to make inspections to determine the condition of buildings or other structures in order that he or she may perform his or her duty of safeguarding life and property within the municipality. For the purpose of making these inspections, the personnel, upon showing appropriate identification, are hereby authorized to enter, examine, and survey at any reasonable hour any building, structure, or premises. The owner, occupant, or person in charge of the building, structure, or premises shall give the personnel free access to the building, structure, or premises at any reasonable hour for the purpose of the inspection, examination, and survey; provided, the owner, occupant, or person in charge may demand 48-hours’ written notice of the inspection. Upon refusal of a right of entry, the Administrator is authorized to seek a search warrant or other appropriate court order in order to obtain access to any building within this municipality.
