(A) Public Employees Retirement System deductions from gross salary are mandatory for all employees. These funds are credited to the employee's savings account with the respective funds, and a statement of the balance in the account as of December 31 is mailed to each member in early February. Upon enrollment in OPERS you will receive a member handbook for your information.
(B) An employee shall be compensated for 25% of his/her unused accumulated sick time as part of their final pay.
