(A) From the date of adoption of this section, each dwelling unit shall have a separate service line and shut off valve (curb stop) or;
(B) Each building having multiple dwelling units shall have individual valves inside a building in an area accessible to Village Water/Sewer Department employees who may have a need to discontinue service to a particular unit to repair or replace a meter or terminate service for non- payment. Village employees must be provided access to this valve location after a reasonable period of notification to the building user.
(C) Multiple tenant buildings built before the date of adoption of this section shall be required to either bring their building into compliance with the above requirements or they must maintain the water/sewer service account in their name, and they shall be responsible for collection of water/service charges from their tenants and payment of all bills for that service account along with any late fees or penalties.
