§ 51.033 WATER TAP FEES.
Tap fees are established by Village Council after periodic review and recommendation of the Public Utilities Committee of Council. The current fee for a three-quarter-inch tap is $1,000 if the village makes the tap and $600 if the contractor makes the tap. For this tap fee, the village will supply the curb box and curb stop (valve) and a three-quarter-inch meter to be installed by the village when the plumbing for the meter is in place. For a one-inch tap, the fee is $1,250 if the village makes the tap and $750 if the contractor makes the tap. For all taps larger than one inch, the tap fee is $1,000 per inch diameter of the service line. All taps larger than one inch shall be made by the contractor/developer, and the village will supply and install an appropriately sized water meter when the proper plumbing is in place.
