§ 2-269 RESERVE FORCE MEMBERS AS PEACE OFFICERS.
   (1)   Each member of the reserve force shall serve as a peace officer, as that term is defined by the laws of this state, and act on the order and at the discretion and direction of the chief of police.
   (2)   Either the mayor or the chief of police may dismiss any member of the reserve force for any reason and without any hearing whatsoever; and each member of the reserve force shall have the right to resign from the reserve force at any time. The civil service ordinance for the City of Bellevue shall not apply to the members of the reserve force.
