Any person who shall fail to comply with any order issued by the city or the director in furtherance of this chapter or who is found to have willfully or negligently failed to comply with any provisions of this chapter, including any rules and regulations issued hereunder, shall, in addition to being guilty of the violation of, and punishment under, any other applicable provision of this Code be deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined an amount that does not exceed $500.00. Each day any such violation or failure to perform such act shall continue, shall constitute a separate offense, unless otherwise specifically provided in this chapter. Except as prohibited by the laws, prosecution under this chapter, shall not be deemed to be the exclusive penalty or remedy for any such act or omission.
