The holder of a valid decorative appliance/gas log contractor’s license or the holder of a valid decorative appliance/gas log installer’s license employed by a licensed contractor, may install, replace, repair or relocate a decorative appliance/gas log appliance within the following limits:
(A) Installation, relocation or replacement of decorative appliance/gas log systems which are listed and approved by the Permits and Inspections Department, including gas piping system extensions from the service line to the point of use in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code. Licensed contractors or installers are strictly prohibited from performing electrical work associated with said installation or repair.
(B) Installation of venting systems for direct vent appliances.
