(A) It shall be unlawful for any person, including firms and corporations, to engage in business as a water conditioning contractor or installer or to install, replace or relocate a water conditioning appliance without first obtaining a license to do so from the Permits and Inspections Department, provided however, that a master plumber or journeyman plumber licensed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter may perform such work without having to secure an additional license.
(B) In the case of any firm having more than one person, only one such person shall be required to qualify as a water conditioning contractor; in the case of a legally constituted corporation, only one executive officer, who is liable to service of regular processes, shall be required to qualify as a water conditioning contractor.
(C) A water conditioning license shall only be valid and in effect for one company, firm, or corporation for whom the license holder is a full-time employee, and shall not be assignable to, or be available for use by any other company, firm, or corporation.
