A sewer layer applicant must provide proof of the following: A sewer layer must have completed three years of practical work experience as an apprentice under a licensed sewer layer and must have passed the written test with a minimum grade of 70 percent. Formal education accrued from an approved educational institution may be submitted for consideration by the building official towards the practical work experience requirement.
