Permit fees for tapping sanitary sewers shall be established by the public works department; no sanitary sewer tap will be greater than eight inches in diameter; all fees collected for tapping a sanitary sewer shall be payable to the city treasurer and credited to the wastewater accounts. Fees for tapping any size sanitary sewer by public works employees or equipment shall be as described in the Master Fee Schedule. There will be a charge as described in the Master Fee Schedule for re-scheduling of public works crews and equipment if the contractor/builder is not ready for the tapping of the sewer or an unsafe condition exists at the work site. The right to refuse entry into unsafe opened trenches will be at the direction of the wastewater superintendent.
