§ 26-39 BOUNDARIES OF JURISDICTION.
   All lands, and all structures thereupon or improvements thereto, lying within any area identified on the Official Zoning Jurisdiction Maps, as defined in section 26-40 of the Code, shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and regulations now in force or subsequently adopted which pertain to zoning, platting, subdividing, rezoning, use of property, area regulations, building permits, building code, plumbing code, electrical code, heating code, appeals to the board of adjustment, applications to the planning commission and related hearings before the city council. All land, and including structures thereupon or improvements thereto, not included within such areas shall remain under the jurisdiction of the appropriate county.
