§ 18-8 SAME—SUSPENSION; DUTY OF POLICE TO RECOMMEND SUSPENSION FOR DRUNK DRIVING, ETC.
   Upon conviction of violation of any provision of this chapter or any other ordinance of the city regulating the operation of motor vehicles, the state operator’s license of the person so convicted may be suspended for not less than ten days and not exceeding one year. No such person shall operate a motor vehicle upon the public ways of the city during such period of suspension.
