§ 16-5 MISUSE, MISTREATMENT OF LIBRARY PROPERTY.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to take or retain possession of, or to remove from the public library building, in violation of any bylaw or regulation adopted by the city council for the protection and government of the public library, or to willfully and maliciously write upon, deface, injure, or destroy any book, periodical, record, film or other property owned by or in the custody of the public library. No person shall unlawfully take or retain possession of, remove from the public library building, write upon, deface, injure, or destroy any book, periodical, record, film or other property owned by or in the custody of the public library.
