§ 15-57 SAME—SCREENS REQUIRED GENERALLY.
   During that portion of each year when the Permits and Inspections Department deems it necessary for protection against flies, mosquitoes and other insects, every door opening directly from a dwelling unit, room unit, hotel unit or nursing home unit, to outdoor space shall be supplied with a screen covering at least 33 percent of the floor area and be equipped with a self-closing device; and every window or other opening to outdoor space used or intended to be used for ventilation shall likewise be supplied with screens covering at least 33 percent of the window area. All such screens shall have a wire mesh of not less than number 16 and shall be properly maintained and repaired to prevent the entrance of flies, mosquitoes and other insects.
