§ 10-35 LICENSE NOT REQUIRED AND HOMEOWNER’S PERMIT.
   Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to:
   (A)   Require employees of municipal corporations, public power districts, public power and irrigation districts, public utility corporations, railroads, telephone or telegraph companies, or commercial or industrial manufacturing companies performing manufacturing, installation, and repair work for such employer to hold licenses while acting within the scope of their employment.
   (B)   Require any license under this chapter of any individual doing installation or repair of the electrical systems of the residence in which he/she lives and owns, provided such installation is done in conformity with this code and any other ordinances of Bellevue. In all cases, the rules and regulations of this chapter shall be complied with and such individual shall notify the city of such work proposed, request inspection thereof and pay a permit in accordance with the provisions of the Bellevue Electrical Code. Furthermore, this section shall only apply to those installations required for remodeling, additions, and repairs. No individual shall be allowed to perform any electrical work on new construction without first having been issued a license to do such work.
