§ 9-16 REQUIRED FOR NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR CITY OFFICES; TIME AND PLACE OF BUILDING.
   There shall be a primary election held in the city to nominate candidates for city officers to be voted on at the general municipal election. The primary election shall be held at the regular polling places on the day of the statewide primary election.
