When an applicant for a license required by this division passes the required examination to the satisfaction of the Permits and Inspections Department, the building official shall notify the applicant of his or her score within 15 days of the examination. After payment of a license fee as stated in the Master Fee Schedule, the building official shall issue a license which shall be effective and valid through June 30 of each calendar year. First time issuance of such license issued between May 1 and June 30 shall be extended to June 30 of the following year.
