§ 6-21 BARKING DOG NOTICES.
   (A)   Intent. The City of Bellevue desires to reduce the number of man hours spent by animal control officers in responding to citizen complaints of barking dogs. Currently, an animal control officer is sent to the location from which the complaint originates to investigate the matter. Oftentimes a complainant refuses to provide his or her name.
   (B)   Enforcement. Upon receiving a complaint in which the complainant does not provide a name, the animal control authority shall send a form letter to the address of the location of the barking dog, advising the resident of the complaint and of procedures that such resident can take to prevent any further action by the animal control authority. Such letter shall be sent upon the first two complaints at the location, and an animal control officer shall be sent on a third or subsequent complaint to investigate the matter.
      (1)   Upon receiving a complaint in which the complainant does provide a name on either of the first two complaints, the animal control authority shall send an animal control officer to the location to investigate the matter.
      (2)   The animal control authority shall continue to respond to any barking dog call in the City of Bellevue that is reported by the city police department.
