No appointment of a member of the reserve force shall be valid until either a bond in the amount of $2,000.00, payable to the City of Bellevue, has been filed with the city clerk by the member appointed or a blanket surety bond has been filed with the city clerk arranged and paid for by the city council that bonds all members of the reserve force. Such bond shall be subject to the provisions of Neb. RS § 11-1.
