§ 31.36 CITY CLERK/TREASURER.
   (A)   There is created the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer of the city.
   (B)   The duties and responsibilities of the City Clerk/Treasurer shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: attend and keep minutes of meetings of the City Council; keep and maintain all official city records; performance of the duties required of the “Official Custodian” or “Custodian” pursuant to KRS 61.870 through 61.882, and Chapter 34 of this code; collect all taxes and fees; receive and safely keep all money belonging to the city; pay money out as directed by order of the City Council, but only upon warrants drawn by the Mayor and countersigned by the Clerk of the City Council; keep an accurate account of all receipts and disbursements, showing when, from whom, and to whom, for what purpose and on what account all city funds were received or paid, and shall exhibit the account so kept; at the first regular meeting of the City Council each month send a monthly report to the City Council, which shall have it credited by the Finance Committee; every three (3) months make a financial exhibit, giving an itemized statement of all receipts, with their sources, and an itemized statement of all disbursements, with their purposes, and shall have the exhibit entered upon the records of this office and annually prepare and publish the statement required by KRS 424.220, possession of the seal of the city if used; performance of the duties as required of the City Alcoholic Beverage Control Administrator as set forth in Chapter 112 of this code; together with such other duties as set forth in the personnel policy of the city; as well as those duties required by statute or ordinance.
   (C)   No later than January 31 of each year, mail to the Department for Local Government a list containing current city information including, but not limited to:
      (1)   The correct name of the Mayor, legislative body members, and the following appointed officials who are serving as of January 1 of each year: (1) City Clerk-Treasurer; (2) City Manager; (3) City Attorney; (4) Finance Director; (5) Police Chief; (6) Fire Chief; and (7) Public Works Director.
      (2)   The correct name of the city, mailing address for city hall, and telephone number of the city hall; and
      (3)   The name and telephone number of either an elected or appointed official to serve as the contact person that may be reached during normal business hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
   (D)   The oath of office to be executed by the City Clerk-Treasurer shall be that set forth in Section 228 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
   (E)   Before entering on the duties of the office, the City Clerk-Treasurer shall execute bond to the city, with a corporate surety authorized and qualified to become surety on bond in this state, in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00).
   (F)   Compensation for this office shall be in an amount as established by ordinance of City Council.
   (G)   The personnel rules and regulations of the city shall apply to this office.
