(A) When a duly authorized agent of the city makes a reasonable determination that a vehicle is abandoned or junked and in violation of this chapter, then a written notice shall be tendered to the owner of the vehicle. If the owner of the vehicle cannot be ascertained, then the owner or occupant of the property where the vehicle is located shall be notified. The notice shall notify them of the existence of the nuisance and violation of the chapter, and request that the vehicle be removed.
(B) The abandoned or junked vehicle shall be ticketed and may be marked to provide notice that it may be removed from its location by the city if the vehicle is not moved by the person responsible for moving it.
