The Board of Adjustments shall consist of three (3) members, all of whom must be citizen members, to be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of City Council. Not more than two (2) of these members may be citizen members of the Planning Commission. Each member of the Board of Adjustments shall serve a term of four (4) years. The Mayor shall appoint, subject to the approval of the Board of Council, one (1) alternate member to serve on the Board of Adjustments when a regular member cannot serve due to illness, travel, a conflict of interest or otherwise. The alternate member shall meet all of the qualifications and shall be subject to all of the requirements that apply to regular members of the Board of Adjustments.
