9-3-2: DEFINITIONS:
When used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings given in this section:
AASHTO: American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
BERM: A mound of earthen or other fill material constructed above the existing grade of the lot usually to provide a buffer between a lot and an adjacent right-of-way or lot.
CITY: The City of Bellevue, Idaho.
CITY CLERK: The City Clerk of the City of Bellevue, Idaho.
COMMISSION: The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Bellevue, Idaho.
COUNCIL: The Common Council of the City of Bellevue, Idaho.
FLOODWAY: The area designated as a "floodway" in the Bellevue zoning ordinance and other applicable ordinances of the City.
LOT: A lot, parcel, plot, or tract of real property.
100-YEAR FLOODPLAIN: The area designated as a "floodplain" in the Bellevue zoning ordinance and other applicable ordinances of the City.
OWNER: The individual, firm, association, partnership, corporation, or other entity having an ownership interest in a lot.
PERSON: An individual, firm, association, partnership, corporation, or other entity.
RIGHT-OF-WAY: A strip of land dedicated or acquired for use for public travel or transportation, which includes streets, sidewalks, shoulders, barrow pits, snow storage areas and other areas used by the City or public with regard thereto.
SLOPE: An inclined surface, the inclination of which is expressed as a ratio of horizontal distance to vertical distance. Slope is measured from the toe or beginning of the slope of the berm.
STREET: A right-of-way which has been officially accepted. Street shall include such terms as highway, thoroughfare, parkway, road, avenue, boulevard, lane and place.
WATER RUNOFF: Water discharged as a result of rain, snow or other precipitation, or irrigation. (Ord. 2001-02, 1-25-2001)
