9-2-12: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC ROADS AND STREETS:
   A.   The Common Council, or any public official or employee designated by the Council, may post a notice and temporarily close, or reasonably limit, travel on any public road, street or way within the jurisdiction of the City upon and for the duration of any of the following conditions or circumstances:
      1.   During periods of danger to persons or property due from avalanches, flooding, mudslides, ice and similar natural occurrences or disasters.
      2.   During periods when travel by vehicles will cause damage to the surface of the road.
      3.   For parades and other public events.
      4.   For road construction, maintenance and repairs.
   B.   The notice of road closure shall be made by the posting of a written notice of closure in a manner that it may be read by the public at the point of which the road is closed. No person shall violate any of the provisions of the posted notice of road closure.
   C.   The City Council hereby designates the City Marshal to close roads under this section. (Ord. 97-06, 7-24-1997)
