8-1-7: FIRE SPRINKLERS AND STANDPIPES:
No person shall install, construct or connect any fire sprinkler or standpipe to the City water system without having first obtained a permit therefor from the Water Superintendent. The applicant shall submit plans therefor to the City for approval as part of the application, and the same shall be installed according to all applicable standards, rules and regulations. All main valves shall be located off the City water main, in the public right-of-way and accessible to City personnel at all times. Approved backflow prevention devices shall be located on the line at locations approved by the City. A water connection fee and a monthly service fee shall be paid to the City as set by resolution of the Common Council. (Ord. 2010-06, 9-23-2010)
