A. All construction or reconstruction of the public water system or water service line or any portion thereof shall be in accordance with each with the following, including subsequent amendments thereto: the City Standard Drawings and Specifications, Idaho Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems (IDAPA 58.01.08), the Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction (ISPWC), the Plumbing Code and such other specifications and design criteria as may hereafter be adopted by the City Council. One copy of each shall be on file with the City Clerk for public inspection during regular business hours. Plans and profile drawings shall be prepared for all water system improvements, extensions, reconstructions, or renovations; and all such plan and profile drawings must be reviewed and approved in writing by the City Engineer and the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality before any construction work on said water lines is begun.
B. The holder of any permit for construction of water improvements within public streets or right-of-way shall file record drawings with the City Water Superintendent prior to final inspection. Record drawings of water line plans shall be prepared by a professional engineer, and the record drawings shall be provided to the City prior to the City accepting dedication of the improvements. Record drawings shall include an acknowledgement thereon, signed by the registered professional engineer in charge of the work, that, to the best of his knowledge, the record drawings of the water lines are true and correct and that said engineer has inspected the water line installation and that the materials and installation of same were all done in reasonably close conformance with the City Standard Specifications for the Construction of Water Systems.
