It shall be unlawful for any person to injure or destroy any traffic regulation sign or street sign including, but not limited to, stop signs, yield signs, caution signs, street designation markers, speed limit designation signs, or any sign or marker of any kind located upon any street, alley, public thoroughfare, bridge, or public easement of any kind. Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to the penalty provisions of section 1-4-1 of this Code.
