Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 3709.05, the Health District Licensing Council shall appoint one of its members to serve as a member of the Board of Health. The Licensing Council shall appoint one of its members to serve as an alternate Board of Health member if for any reason the original member is required to abstain from voting on a particular issue being considered by the Board of Health. While serving on behalf of the original member, the alternate member has the same powers and duties as the original member.
