(a) The Mayor of the City is hereby authorized and directed to appoint a Director of Public Service and Safety hereby reestablishing the position which had been in effect prior to 1980 as authorized by Ohio R.C. 733.03.
(b) The person appointed by the Mayor to the office of Director of Public Service and Safety shall meet all requirements as set forth in Ohio R.C. Chapters 735 and 737.
(c) The person occupying the position of Director of Public Service and Safety shall be responsible for performing those duties as outlined in Ohio R.C. Chapters 735 and 737 and any additional duties as set forth in the ordinances of the City or as directed by the Mayor of the City.
