(a) Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and/or Safety Director to enter into mutual aid agreements for fire protection with area communities which shall result in greater fire protection for the residents of the City.
(b) Council reserves the right to review the agreements from time to time and pass additional legislation with regard to the same if Council, in its sole discretion, deems such changes to be appropriate.
(c) This authorization for the Mayor and/or Safety Director shall continue indefinitely until withdrawn by suitable future legislation.
