Council does hereby expressly provide that those members of the Auxiliary Police Unit of the Bellevue Police Department who have successfully completed the Ohio Peace Officers Training Course should be and hereby are given express authority to make warrantless misdemeanor arrests to the same extent as regular officers of the Bellevue Police Department have authority to make warrantless misdemeanor arrests.
