141.02 AUXILIARY POLICE UNIT.
   (a)   In accordance with the provisions of Ohio R.C. 737.051 this section is passed continuing the use of an auxiliary police unit with the Bellevue Police Department.
 
   (b)   The Director of Public Safety shall be the executive head of the auxiliary police unit and shall make all appointments and removals of auxiliary police officers after consulting with the Chief of the Police Department and with the officers of the police auxiliary although the Director shall have the right to make final determination as to appointments and removals. As the Director, he shall prescribe rules and regulations for the organization, training, administration, control and conduct of the auxiliary police unit.
 
   (c)   The members of the auxiliary police unit shall not be eligible for membership in the Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund as set forth in Ohio R.C. Chapter 742, nor shall they be eligible for the classified service of the City.
 
   (d)   Should the provisions of this section conflict with any previous section or any parts of any previous sections insofar as there is a conflict this section shall control and the inconsistent parts of a previous section or sections shall be and hereby are considered repealed to the extent of the conflict.

   (e)   The members of the auxiliary unit shall be limited to not more than twenty-five.
