1127.16 PUBLIC SITES.
Due consideration should be given to the allocation of suitable property for schools, parks and playgrounds. Especially appropriate for such preservation are areas with unusual natural features or beauty and areas of historical significance. It is deemed desirable that at least five percent (5%) of the net area of every plat, exclusive of streets, should be set aside as a play area or park. Where the tract contains less than forty (40) acres, such reservation for open space should be combined, wherever possible, with similar reservations in adjoining tracts. Where applicable, such public sites shall conform to the comprehensive land use plan of current adoption.
