(a) Council does herein recognize the logo, hereafter described, to be the official logo for the City.
(b) The official logo of the City consists of three circles. In the border of the outer circle at the top in black letters is the word "Bellevue"; at the bottom in black letters the slogan "Heart of Northern Ohio". The inner circle is divided into eight sections, each representing a segment of Bellevue; clockwise the first section, a steam locomotive on a red background represents the City's long history in the railroad industry; the gear on a green background represents the fifteen major industries that make up Bellevue's industrial community; the cherries on a red background represent the City's Cherry Festival and the area's cherry products; water lines on a green background represent Bellevue's underground streams; the farm tractor on a red background represents the area farming community and farm products; the bat, ball and tennis racquet on green background represents the City's recreation program, one of the best in the State; the book on a red background represents education and religion, the community backbone; the shaft of wheat on a green background represents agricultural products. The third inner circle contains a red letter "B" on white background outlined in black to represent the Bellevue Redmen.
(c) The official logo of the City is the property of its citizens and may be used by them, with permission from the City, in any suitable manner in its official form. The official logo of the City shall not be altered, defaced or used in a degrading manner.
