(a) Sewer Rates:

(1) On January 1, 2016, and continuing each January 1 thereafter, there shall be another 3% increase from the previous year’s rate, rounded to the nearest penny, and continuing indefinitely until further changed by City Council. (Ord. 24-12. Passed 12-10-12.)
(2) A. In order to compensate for the scheduled increases in water rates set by the Mayor for calendar year 2021, City Council hereby waives and cancels the scheduled 3% increase in sewer rates to take effect on or after January 1, 2021 for the calendar year 2021, and for that year only, and have the sewer rates for 2021 be the same as in calendar year 2020.
B. The cancellation of the scheduled increase in sewer rates for calendar year 2021 is the only change being made by this subsection, and the scheduled 3% increases shall continue to take effect on January 1 of each year thereafter, commencing January 1, 2022, January 1, 2023, and so forth, unless and until further changed by ordinance by this City Council.

(b) The rates which shall be charged for municipal water service and wastewater service within the corporate limits are effective with the bills rendered as herein noted. The rates outside of the corporation limits for municipal water service and wastewater service shall be equal to the rate charged for those within the corporate limits plus all costs associated with the debt service for the cost of the construction of the facilities necessary to provide said service plus all additional operations, maintenance and replacement costs for said constructed facilities.
