A permit is required to remove an existing "street tree" from the Shade Tree Commission prior to a property owner having a tree cut down. The cost involved in removal of a street tree is borne by the property owner, unless otherwise provided by the City. The Shade Tree Commission may require removed trees to be replaced with a suitable size and specie of tree approved by the Shade Tree Commission.
