Unless otherwise provided for in a permit issued under Section 1317.01 of the Building Code, a permit shall be required prior to the original construction of a sidewalk, or any replacement of a sidewalk, or portion thereof, to insure compliance with the standards set forth in this Chapter. The fee for this permit shall be set forth in Chapter 1317.
