731.08 TRESPASSING IN VIOLATION OF POSTED SIGNS OR REGISTRATION.
   (a)    No person while engaged in any for-profit or nonprofit canvassing, solicitation or peddling, shall knock at the door or ring the bell of any home, apartment, apartment building or other dwelling unit in the City upon which is displayed at the entrance a notice which reads "No Canvassers, Solicitors or Peddlers Allowed", or "No Solicitors Invited", or "No Soliciting", or which otherwise clearly purports to prohibit canvassers, solicitors or peddlers on the premises, unless such canvasser, solicitor or peddler is, or has been, invited upon the premises by the owner, lessee or occupant thereof.
   (b)    No person while engaged in any for-profit or nonprofit canvassing, solicitation or peddling, shall knock at the door or ring the bell of any home, apartment, apartment building or other dwelling unit in the City, if the owner(s) and/or lessee(s) and/or occupant(s) of said premises have registered at the office of the Director of Public Safety as not allowing canvassers, solicitors or peddlers at such residence, unless such canvasser, solicitor or peddler, is, or has been invited upon the premises by the owner, lessee or occupants thereof. The Director of Public Safety shall keep such a list of all owners, lessees, and occupants so registered as not allowing canvassing, soliciting, or peddling, and such list shall be made available at no charge to all registrants under this chapter.
